The Next to Die

Five years since his daughter's death. Now it's happening again.

Between bouts at the boxing gym and regularly scheduled self-medication, ex-cop Dylan Kasper gets hit on by someone he least expects. Days later, the young stranger Tommy is dead from an apparent suicide. But only Kasper knows there's more, and with good reason.

Because Tommy's death re-enacts the worst moment of his own life: the day his daughter died, jumping in front of a train.

It was more than a cry for help. Soon Kasper learns just how badly Tommy and his entire family needed protection. Though it's got nothing to do with him, he's got nothing to lose - and he might have failed before, but he'll be damned if he fails again.
