By using our website and placing an order, you agree to our terms and conditions outlined in this policy. We recommend reviewing this section regularly for updates and clarifications regarding shipping and delivery procedures.

2. Local Deliveries:

  • 10 km Radius: We currently deliver books and merchandise within a 10 km radius of our Kolkata store.
  • Order Value: Local delivery is available for orders of ₹699 or more.
  • Public Holidays & Sunday's: Please note that local deliveries are not available on Sundays or public holidays. Orders placed during this time will be delivered on the next working day.
  • Pre-Orders: For pre-order items, delivery will be scheduled once the book is released and received in our store.
  • Stock Availability: In the rare event that a book goes out of stock when your order is being processed, the item will be shipped on the following working day.

3. Shipping Coverage

  • Pan-India Shipping: We deliver books and merchandise all across India through trusted logistics partners.
  • Serviceable Areas: At checkout, enter your PIN code to confirm if delivery is available to your location. If your area is unserviceable, you will be informed during the order process.
  • Unserviceable Zones: In rare cases, if a PIN code becomes unserviceable after the order is placed, your order may be cancelled and fully refunded.

4. Order Processing & Dispatch

  • Processing Time: All orders are processed and dispatched within 24 working hours (Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays).
  • Weekend Orders: Orders placed on weekends or holidays are dispatched on the next working day.
  • Order Confirmation: You’ll receive a confirmation email and SMS when your order is dispatched, including tracking details.

5. Delivery Timelines

  • Estimated Delivery: Standard delivery times vary by location and will be displayed at checkout.
  • Delays: Delivery may be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather, strikes, government restrictions, or other logistic challenges beyond our control.
  • Communication: We will attempt to notify you promptly if there are any unexpected delays affecting your order.

6. Shipping & Delivery Process

  • Courier Partners: We work with reputed logistics providers to ensure safe and prompt delivery.
  • Information Accuracy: Please enter complete and accurate shipping details (name, address with landmarks, and contact number). Errors can delay delivery and may result in order cancellation.
  • Attempts: The courier will attempt delivery up to two times. If you remain unavailable after two attempts, your order may be cancelled and returned to us.
  • Tracking: A unique tracking number will be provided so you can monitor your order’s progress.

7. Receiving Your Order

  • Package Verification: Upon delivery, please verify that the package is intact and all items are present. Oxford Bookstore packages use tamper-evident packing for your safety.
  • Damaged or Tampered Packages: Do not accept any package that is visibly damaged or tampered with; report it immediately to our customer service. Acceptance of a damaged/tampered package disqualifies you from return claims for missing or defective products.
  • OTP Delivery (where applicable): For your security, you might be asked to share a One Time Password (OTP) with our delivery partner to complete the delivery.

8. Shipping Charges

  • Charges: Shipping fees may apply depending on your order value, location, and delivery method. Any applicable shipping charges are displayed at checkout.
  • Refunds: Shipping fees are non-refundable except in cases where the order is cancelled due to product defect or non-serviceable area, as determined by Oxford Bookstore.

9. Delays & Limitations

  • Deliveries may be impacted by force majeure events such as natural disasters, political unrest, or infrastructure issues.
  • Oxford Bookstore is not liable for delays or inconvenience caused by such circumstances but will make every reasonable effort to keep you informed and resolve issues swiftly.
