October 12, 2020: A power outage in Mumbai brings the nation’s financial capital to a complete standstill for hours. In Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, a suspicious Chinese vessel is detected off the coast of Sri Lanka. At the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Tawang Sector, the Indian Army has a face-off against the Chinese Army at a patrolling point.
Unable to accept all these events as mere coincidences, the Indian government entrusts the investigation to a specialized operations unit led by Yashwant Godbole.
The investigation makes shocking discoveries. There are unmanned surveillance centres buried in camouflaged trenches near the LAC. They also find smuggled microchips designed to cripple India’s defence grid and a long-lost intelligence operative, presumed dead for decades, found alive in a Chinese-controlled village. All of these point towards a disturbing Chinese plan that could paralyze the nation even before the first bullet is fired.
