The Banishing of Billy Bunter

It all began with a whopping parcel of tuck which Horace Coker of the Fifth received from his aunt. It hardly needs to be pointed out that Bunter is very fond of tuck, and in no time at all he had that parcel cached in the old Cloisters, where he could deal with it at leisure, free from the enquiring eyes of the Remove. Unfortunately, he was seen by Mr. Prout, master of the Fifth, who quite naturally arranged for Mr. Quelch to deliver some resounding whacks on Bunter's seat. The fat boy of Greyfriars, feeling somewhat revengeful, announced his intention of bestowing a raw egg on Mr. Prout at the first opportunity. Meanwhile, Horace Coker was also in trouble with Prout and expressed his annoyance by throwing a tomato at him from a suitable vantage point. Bunter, of course, got the blame and was promptly sacked by the Head. As might be expected from so exuberant a personality as Bunter, he didn't take his expulsion lightly – in fact he refused to be expelled. Indeed, he was soon back at Greyfriars holding out against all-comers in the box-room.
