Michael secretly gave up his life and love to become a spy within Zodius Nation in order to protect his lover's father - the General a man he did not respect but was bound to protect for Cassandra's sake. Though he has left the Zodius and aligned himself with the Renegades once again he knows Cassandra will never be his. Of course it doesn't help when he finds out the General has knowingly put them all in danger by giving in to a plan that would expose the Renegades to humans and enemies alike.
