Sifarnama

“Sifarnaama” is a journey — from my being to my non-being. I exist, and yet I don’t. I am found, and yet I am lost. This is not a quest to attain something; it is a journey to lose myself completely. These poems, these verses, are not confined to any single canvas — they are free, they breathe. They will continue to breathe when they reach you, touch your consciousness, and dissolve within you. Then nothing of me will remain. My existence, after all, holds no real meaning — for “non-being” itself is the journey toward “zero.”

In these poems, I’ve tried to capture all the colors of life — some drawn from my own experiences, and some borrowed from others. Walking in someone else’s shoes, feeling their pain — that too has been a part of this journey. These poems, written over many years, have often been distanced from me — just as I have done with love. Loneliness has its own thirst, and amidst that thirst, I sometimes encounter myself. Often, between me and my solitude, it is I who stand in the way.

These poems were born out of that solitude — the moment when even I was lost. They have descended through me — whether I truly wrote them or not, I do not know. They simply poured down upon me, like rain falls from clouds. I was their first reader, just like you are now. I had already lived them when they were written. I had touched that void — the very nothingness — from where it all began.
