Cricket is a game of battle between bat and ball. An opener’s role is to give his team a solid start, often without knowing much about the pitch conditions or how the new ball will behave in the air. While a bowler always has another chance to correct his mistake, a batsman does not. Despite this, cricket history has witnessed some legendary openers who have earned the world’s admiration.
