About the Author

H.Y. Sharada Prasad was born in Bangalore and was a writer with an educational background from Mysore. He served as the media advisor to former Prime Ministers of India, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi.

He was particularly well known for his long association with Indira Gandhi and is remembered as the only person in her office who did not address her as 'madam'.
