Hindi:Meri Kahani

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru wrote his autobiography in English under the title An Autobiography. This book is a simplified, concise, and well-edited Hindi adaptation of that original work. Nehru wrote it between 1934 and 1935 while he was in prison, and it was first published in 1936. Later, when Hind Pocket Books released it in 1983 in very simple language to reach a wider audience, the book broke all sales records. Jawaharlal Nehru was a great personality who authored several inspiring and enlightening books, but through Meri Kahani, he not only narrated his family’s and personal struggles but also vividly described the making of modern India before his eyes. The engaging storytelling in this book is enough to establish Nehru as a great historian.
