Description
Hitopadesh is a collection of instructive tales influenced by Indian culture and environment. The stories of Hitopadesh are extremely simple, engaging, and easy to understand. A distinctive feature of this work is that its stories are based on various animals and birds. Through these animal characters, the author crafts narratives that always conclude with a moral lesson. The animals are depicted as discussing principles of wisdom and conduct. All the stories appear interconnected, and Hitopadesh follows the same style and structure as the Panchatantra.
