This non-fiction picture book celebrates the rich variety of families that exist in the world, and is illustrated throughout with beautiful artwork. It covers all kinds of families, including families who live together and apart, blended families, extended families, adopted families and foster families and looks at how families change and what makes a family. The book includes notes for teachers and parents on helping children to develop self esteem and empathy by understanding how people differ and how they are the same.

The All Kinds Of series is aimed at children aged 5 and up and offers a friendly and inclusive look at how we live our lives, celebrating our differences as well as what we have in common.
