Description
Ashesh was a man who valued sensual pleasure above family, society, or moral bounds. To him, a woman was merely an object for physical satisfaction—whether it was his own pure, innocent wife at home or women scorned by society. Himani, his wife, never received love, respect, or kindness from her husband and lived a suffocated, alienated life within her own home. Ahuti, a young girl deceived into marriage, entered a household where another woman—the true wife—was already suffering in silence. Witnessing this, Ahuti sacrificed her own life’s happiness. The woman Ashesh had deprived of her rights, he later tried to place on a pedestal, but Ahuti did not allow it. She fought a long, courageous battle and elevated Himani to such a height—within her home and beyond—that Ashesh appeared small before her and ultimately surrendered to his first wife.
