Bunter comes for Christmas

To the Owl of the Remove, the Christmas holidays meant but one thing – mountains of food and endless eating; a prospect which would always galvanize him into unwonted energy and careful planning – both essential if he was to avoid the appalling fate of spending the festive season at Bunter Villa, where little care was taken of his innermost needs. Naturally the Famous Five did not want Bunter invading their own celebrations and making tremendous inroads into their stocks, especially as the fat Owl had just demolished Wharton's cake and had to be booted out of his study for his pains. But an even worse distraction than Bunter intruded on the friends' holiday at Wharton Lodge, in the shape of a burglar of valuable paintings. Nor was this all – who was responsible for the chaos in Harry's room, and for the mysterious appearances and disappearances of the cake? As it turned out, not only was Bunter to be at Wharton Lodge for Christmas, but his presence was actually going to be welcome!
