Wharton has a double who is his enemy!

Stacey who is almost Wharton's double joins the school and there ensues many cases of mistaken identity. Stacey shows his real colours when he begins to undermine Wharton's position in the Form and the cricket team. Wharton keeps getting into serious trouble and loses his captaincy. Stacey is a bad lot but the chinks in his amour are beginning to be visible and he opens himself up to being blackmailed by Loder. A lot more trickery is intended to implicate Wharton, but is Quelch beginning to see the light? Can Stacey's deceit be finally revealed, and will Wharton be vindicated?
