Description
The heroine of this novel, Saraswati, is inspired by noble thoughts and embodies the essence of Indian culture in her values. Just as in classical mural art, one can observe the circular grace of the Ajanta style along with the angular bends of the medieval form, the heroine of this novel too reflects both these artistic characteristics in her portrayal. The novel also depicts the dilemma of fathers who, due to financial constraints, are compelled to marry their daughters to unsuitable grooms.
