Book Overview
Operation SINDOOR is a definitive and gripping account of India’s military retaliation against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, narrated by one of India’s most respected Army commanders, Lieutenant General K.J.S. ‘Tiny’ Dhillon (Retd).
On 22 April 2025, a brutal terrorist attack by The Resistance Front — a proxy of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), backed by the Pakistan Army and ISI — rocked the Baisaran Valley in Pahalgam, South Kashmir. The massacre claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians, including newlyweds, the elderly, solo trekkers, and brave individuals from all faiths who tried to save others. This heinous act was an attempt to fracture India's religious harmony.
India responded with decisive force through Operation SINDOOR — a four-day military operation that targeted terror camps in Bahawalpur and Muridke (linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed and LeT), and launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir. The operation reflected India's military modernization, strategic intelligence, and diplomatic finesse.
Through never-before-shared details, Lt Gen Dhillon offers a blow-by-blow account of this high-stakes engagement between two nuclear-armed nations. The book delves into the military, media, and psychological dimensions of modern warfare, highlighting the emergence of a ‘new normal’ in India's rules of engagement.
Accompanied by visuals from the destroyed targets, Operation SINDOOR is not just a military chronicle — it's a powerful testament to national unity, resilience, and the enduring hope for peace and justice.
A must-read for every Indian.
