Description
While this book is for my daughters, it is about imagined words and strange beings who refuse to obey logical ideas, rational wishes and grammatical forms. Poems about Snarks by Lewis Carroll, Dreamtigers by Jorge Luis Borges, Jumblies by Edward Lear and Kipling’s Just So Stories continue to sustain me in our cruel and mean times..
About the Author: Alok Bhalla, a widely published critic, translator and poet, has taught courses on literature, cinema and art in Indian and foreign universities. He received the Foundation of SAARC Writers and Literature Award in 2023. He is enchanted by the sound of words and the enigma of stories. These whimsical rhymes gave him a wonderful break from dusty libraries and academic writing.
